This policy applies to all applications published by Blacksmithery, including Anvil Cleaner, and to this website. It is written in plain language because there is very little to disclose: our software is designed so that your data never needs to reach us.
1. What we collect
Nothing. Our applications do not collect, store or transmit personal information. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no telemetry of any kind sent from the app.
2. Everything runs locally
All scanning and cleaning operations are performed entirely on your device. That covers temporary files, caches, duplicate files, registry entries, privacy traces, startup items, disk analysis and hardware sensor readings. The results are displayed to you and are never uploaded anywhere.
3. What the software reads
To do its job, Anvil Cleaner reads file metadata (names, sizes and content hashes), registry entries, the list of installed applications, startup entries and hardware sensor values. This information is shown to you inside the application only. It is not transmitted, shared or retained by us in any form.
4. Purchases
Optional Pro upgrades are processed entirely by the Microsoft Store. We never see or store your payment details, card numbers or billing address. Your licence status is kept locally on your device so the application knows what to unlock.
5. Settings and local files
Your preferences, such as interface language, selected scan folder and activity history, are saved locally inside your Windows user profile. Registry backups created before a repair are also stored locally so you can restore them. None of these files are transmitted.
6. Third parties
Our applications contain no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking components. This website loads web fonts from Google Fonts; apart from your browser requesting those font files, no personal data is collected by this site. There are no cookies, no tracking pixels and no visitor analytics.
7. Children
Our software does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, since it collects no data at all.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new revision date, and it will accompany the corresponding Microsoft Store listing.
