The questions we are asked most often about our PC cleaner for Windows 10 and 11.
Is Anvil Cleaner free?
Scanning is completely free. You can open any tool, run a scan and review the full results at no cost, and the Storage Cleaner can be used for free including cleaning. Anvil Cleaner Pro unlocks one-click Clean & Fix across every tool, with monthly, yearly or lifetime options.
How do I restore something that was removed?
Duplicate files are moved to the Recycle Bin, so you can restore them from there. For registry changes, the app exports a backup file and creates a System Restore point before any modification. Open the Registry Fixer and use "Restore last backup", or roll back through Windows System Restore.
Why does the app ask for administrator permission?
Only when you choose to clean system-level locations, such as Windows update caches or machine-wide registry entries. That work runs in a separate helper process that starts on demand and closes with the app. Everything inside your own user profile is done without elevation.
Does Anvil Cleaner send my data anywhere?
No. All scanning and cleaning happens locally on your device. The app contains no telemetry, no analytics and no advertising, and it makes no outbound network connections. See our privacy policy for the full statement.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by the Microsoft Store. Open the Microsoft Store app, go to your account, then Subscriptions. You can also manage them at account.microsoft.com/services. Cancelling stops the renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
I bought Pro but a new PC shows it as free. What now?
Sign in to the Microsoft Store with the same account you purchased with, then open Anvil Cleaner, go to Settings and choose "Restore purchase". Your licence will be recognised again immediately.
Which languages are supported?
Nine: English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Russian and Arabic. The interface follows your Windows language automatically and can be changed at any time in Settings.
Which versions of Windows are supported?
Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. The app is a native desktop application and installs through the Microsoft Store, so it updates automatically.
Is it safe to clean the registry?
The Registry Fixer only proposes entries that point at software which no longer exists: invalid application paths, dead startup entries and leftover uninstall keys. You review each one, a backup file is exported and a System Restore point is created before anything is changed.
